Description
This was an exercise in detail. I often get frustrated trying to create clear boundaries between different areas using pastels.
I'm quite proud of the volcano in this case - and the fluid, more organic nature is forgiving when it comes to boundaries ^^.
On the other hand, I regret the 'dance floor' in the centre-right, because the elongated structures create small spaces that are a nightmare to work with XD.
I'm proud of the coloured steps though :3. The bright, geometric nature that I was going for comes out much more clearly there.
Inspirations for this include Minecraft (which has different biomes adjacent to each other), and significantly Warlock 2, a fantasy-themed strategy game in which you travel across the planes, each influenced by a different element
